COVID-19: Castlemaine Vet Clinic is open

2 July, 2020

As an essential service, Castlemaine Vet Clinic remains open over our normal business hours during COVID 19 lockdowns.  Entry to the clinic is currently limited to 6 people however, should another lockdown occur, we will limit entry to one person at a time.  Masks are now compulsory in our region and you will notice our fabulous Reception team wearing some very stylish ones in the best interests of client safety.

Should another lock down occur in regional Victoria, we will implement the following changes:

  • Our opening hours on Saturdays are currently 9 am to 2 pm but would extend to 5 pm during lock down to ease car park and foot path congestion throughout the week.
  • We will close the clinic doors to reduce the risk to clients and staff during lock down and ask everyone to wait in their cars and let us know when they arrive.
  • We will come out to your car and talk to you, then take your animal inside for their examination or procedure.
  • We will stagger appointments to reduce wait times.
  • Alternatively, you will be able to wait on the footpath but must observe social distancing guidelines and wear a mask.
  • If you are worried about driving to the clinic we can offer telemedicine: phone or email consults.

Please don’t hesitate to give us a call on 5470 6300 should you have any concerns during this challenging time.  I’m sure together we can find a way to look after you and your animals.
